If you're considering Invisalign to achieve a straighter smile, one of the common questions you may have is, How long does Invisalign take from start to finish?
Let’s walk you through the Invisalign treatment timeline, from the initial consultation to the final results.
Invisalign Consultation: The first step is scheduling a consultation with our experienced team. This allows us to create a customized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Customized Treatment Plan: After the consultation, our team will use 3D scanning to create a digital representation of your teeth.
This helps us map out the movements your teeth need during Invisalign treatment, providing an accurate treatment duration estimate.
Invisalign Aligner Fitting: Once your treatment plan is ready, we'll schedule an appointment for your Invisalign aligner fitting.
You'll receive a series of custom-made clear aligners that are virtually invisible and can be easily removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.
Active Treatment Phase: The active treatment phase begins when you start wearing your first set of Invisalign aligners. You'll go through a series of aligners, typically changing them every one to two weeks as directed

Dr. Bilal Rahime
Dr. Bilal Rahime was born and raised in Edmonton. He graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2016 and previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 2011 from the University of Alberta, majoring in mathematics and physical sciences. He is passionate about keeping up with the rapidly changing world of dentistry and the innovative treatments that help him to provide the best care for his patients. When Bilal is not busy enjoying time with his family, he loves to travel and catch up on sports.
Dr. Matt Pavlic
Dr Matt Pavlic was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He obtained his degree in Biology, then graduated from UBC Dental in 2018.
Dr Pavlic joined the military in 2015 and served as a Dental Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces until 2023, after being posted to Esquimalt and then Edmonton. Outside of dentistry, Dr Pavlic is passionate about cars, and spending time with his wife and cat.

Dr. Mohammad Hatamleh was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2020 and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2025.
Dr. Hatamleh has always been passionate about helping people smile and strives to make every patient’s experience comfortable and positive. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and staying active at the gym.

At Griesbach Family Dental, we offer you the convenient option of Direct Billing to your insurance company. We understand that paying for dental costs upfront for an entire family’s dental treatment can be a challenge for some of our patients. Therefore, we are always happy to assist with the electronic submission of your dental claims. If your dental plan provides the option of direct payment to your dentist, we would be happy to accept it.

To find out if you are eligible for Direct Billing, get in touch with your insurance provider. They will be able to tell you if your dental plan provides this option. If your dental plan does not cover direct billing, don’t worry as our practice may be able to offer alternative payment plans.
